What was Mom's Favorite Gift?

So, now that the holidays have come and gone, tell me what was your mom's favorite gift?

Now I know they all appreciate everything the kids get them. But some gifts are always better than others, aren't they?

I got two gifts for my mom this year. The first is something I made. I have actually become quite handy at crocheting. So I found a book with scarf patterns that don't scream "table runner". What I created was a mod looking scarf that I would actually wear myself. I used some upscale yarns and, voila, a one of a kind, original gift.

The second thing was the Cooking Mama game for Nintendo DS. Yep, I have a hip, DS playing mom. And a side benefit - I got to try the game out for myself as well.

She says she likes both - but I really haven't seen her use either in the few days that followed. Oh well, mom's are so hard to please.

Perhaps I will spend the year coming up with some better gift ideas for mom for next Christmas!
